GJW, LLC is the largest purebred Line 3 PIC multiplication herd in the world. It houses a little over 5000 sows and is located in an isolated part of the Nebraska sand hills several miles outside of Ainsworth, Nebraska. The farm’s location was selected for its remoteness from other pigs, which is very beneficial for the health of the animals on the farm.
The planning for GJW, LLC began in early 2007 with construction beginning in January of 2008. Construction incorporated state-of-the-art equipment utilizing standard building practices for farms of its size. The first pigs were born November 12th and are being sold to customers throughout Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, Minnesota, and western Iowa. The last building was completed in December of 2008. The farm is producing Cambrough pigs using PIC genetics.
